Superbills provided for out-of-network insurance reimbursement. We do not bill insurance or Medicare directly. Full pricing, policies, and what's included.
How much does a mobile blood draw cost?
A standard home draw is $200. Pediatric draws are $200 to $250, and autism-informed care adds $25. Therapeutic phlebotomy is $250 per unit draw, a Galleri test draw is $175 with kit handling, and athlete performance packages are $450, $550, or $700. Every price is listed before you book, and each one covers the visit, the draw, labeling, and delivery to your lab. See the full price list.
What areas do you serve?
Sonoma, Marin, Napa, Solano, and Sacramento counties, plus the greater San Francisco Bay Area, including Alameda, Contra Costa, and San Mateo.
Do you take insurance or Medicare? What is a superbill?
We do not bill insurance or Medicare directly. You pay when you book, and we give you a superbill: an itemized receipt with the procedure codes your insurer needs to consider out-of-network reimbursement. Many PPO plans reimburse part of the visit.
Medicare does not reimburse our visit fee. The lab still bills Medicare for the tests themselves as usual.
Can I book for a parent, child, or family member?
Yes. Book under your name and put the patient's name, address, and any access notes (gate code, which door, mobility needs) in the booking notes. Many of our clients book for a homebound parent or a senior who can no longer get to a lab. The patient, or their legal representative, signs consent at the visit.
Which labs do you deliver to, and what do I need ready?
We deliver to Quest, LabCorp, and hospital labs across our service area. Have your provider's lab order ready: a printed copy, the order in MyChart or your patient portal, or an order faxed to us by your provider's office. If you are unsure whether your lab is covered, call or text (707) 280-3651 before you book.
Do you do pediatric or autism-informed draws?
Yes. Pediatric draws are $200 to $250 and happen at home, at your child's pace, with a parent right there. Autism-informed care (+$25) adds a pre-visit planning call and extra appointment time, and we never hold a child down: if your child can't go ahead, we stop and reschedule. Read what an autism-informed draw looks like.
Do you offer therapeutic phlebotomy?
Yes. We do unit draws at home for hemochromatosis, polycythemia vera, and other conditions where your provider orders blood removal. Bring the order (standing orders are welcome) and we schedule the series. $250 per draw. Therapeutic phlebotomy at home.
Can you draw for a Galleri or other mail-in kit?
Yes. Have the kit at home when we arrive. We draw into the kit's tubes, follow the kit's handling steps (spin, cold pack, or room temperature), and drop it at FedEx or UPS the same day. Galleri draws are $175 with kit handling included. How the Galleri draw works.
What is your cancellation policy?
Reschedule or cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before your appointment. Inside 24 hours, or if we arrive and the draw can't go ahead, a $50 visit fee applies and the rest is refunded. If we have to cancel, you are never charged. Full terms and cancellation policy.
Are you certified and HIPAA compliant?
Yes. Our lead phlebotomist is California CPT-1 certified with an ER background, and Mariposa is fully insured and HIPAA compliant. Read our privacy policy and notice of privacy practices.
How do I prepare for my draw?
Follow any fasting instructions from your provider, drink water beforehand, and have your lab order ready.
For a fasting draw, book our first slot at 8am, or call about an earlier start. For school-age kids, Saturday mornings (8 to 11am) are the easiest fit, since weekday visits end at 3pm.
How do I book an appointment?
Book on our scheduling page at mariposamobilephlebotomy.as.me (opens in a new tab) or call or text (707) 280-3651. Same-day and next-day appointments are often available.
